The Great Competition

In one way or another, everyone and everything is competing for our attention.

The billboards, the ads, the companies and the influencers.

Everyone has something to say, so we listen. But in reality, we’re living in a world of an abundant amount of information and a finite amount of time and bandwidth to absorb, let alone implement or retain the information for it to become stowed as knowledge within us.

In the age of the Great Competition which seems to be coinciding with the time of the Paradigm Shift , let’s be discerning and highly selective of who and what we give our attention and energy to.

In fact, let’s change how we view ourselves and our time. Time is our most valuable commodity, we can’t make more of it. Instead of eagerly seeking who we give it to, let’s eagerly pursue limiting who and what gets access to our attention, and in turn, time.

Let’s not have hundreds of people we’re following, instead let’s choose those who actually inspire us, lead us and show us light. Let’s be realistic and honest, 20, 40 maybe 60 at most is a feasible number of human beings to listen to and learn from at a time. Probably less if we’re actually looking to employ the philosophies or practices they’re bestowing upon us.

Let’s become women who hold ourselves in such high regard that we fill ourselves with reverence for our attention and become accustomed to utilizing superior judgment when it comes to those we allow to hold our attention and hearts.

Let’s be the women of change, the women who are so “hard to get” it takes truth, vulnerability and honest value to grab our eye. Let’s nourish and honor our minds and hearts with the purest form of mastery that we attain by using discernment in decision making.

Let’s be lead by Spirit and not by man.

Let’s begin to treat ourselves as the glorious creations of God that we are. Let’s conserve our magical energy so that we may concentrate where we pour it. Instead of scattering attention everywhere, feeding weeds, let’s fertilize and  nourish gardens 🌿

If we cultivated a pattern of pruning the branches that don’t serve us, we’d have abundant time to spend in ceremony, in meditation, in fertile fields of thought and service to those around us ✨
